France may be heading to the World Cup final, but Olivier Giroud is still making unwanted history in front of goal.

Left out of the starting XI for France's opener against Australia, the Chelsea striker has started every match since, but has yet to find the back of the net.

In fact, Giroud has failed to even get any of his 13 shots on target thus far – the most off-target shots a player has had at a World Cup since 1966.

Giroud has still managed to help France to their third World Cup final in the last six tournaments, the most of any country in that time period.

The Chelsea striker has 31 goals in his 80 career caps, good for joint-fourth place on France’s all-time list.

Giroud will look to break his World Cup duck in Sunday's final, where France will take on either England or Croatia.

I grew up with a pretty expensive taste and so I knew I had to find a way to make money. I sold fake t-shirts in school so it was that drive that led me into business. In time I understood the philosophy that eggs cannot be put in one basket.

How one can make it as an actor
We are in an economy that has not been kind to its youth so that lives a narrow way to make ends meet. Entertainment seems like the only viable option for now. Our government is not doing what they are supposed to do. And we should be happy that these youths are not turning to crime. I don’t care if there is an overload of people joining the industry, let them keep coming. You have to go through training and also be able to take constructive criticism. You should put in work, once you do, you are an actor.

His sojourn with music
Music was the creative juice of the moment. I smoked weed that day, true story. Weed doesn’t agree with me. I’ve done a lot of foolish things because of people daring me. That day I was hanging out with 2face and co and a little weed had been smoked and they said it is time for you to put out that song. I’ve learnt my lesson and I’m not going back. My music career was weed induced. I’ve stuck to what I know.

Why he doesn’t appear in movies anymore
Truthfully, not anybody can afford me as it were. Without sounding immodest, I’ve paid my dues through blood, sweat and tears. So I’ve set a certain fee and a certain standard. I’m a man that talks about salaries to pay and ensuring that I’m going from riches to wealth. So, it's just so happens that anyone that approaches me has to come correct. The script has to be excellent and of course the money has to be right.

A certain Cameroonian couple Kareen and Pete recently shared their captivating love story which will make you crave to fall in love.

Both lovers who were students at the Brontech Institute at the time met and fell in love in 2014, they continued their relationship after school and now in 2018 they are about to tie the knot.

According to Kareen, she met her man two days after she enrolled into the institute, speaking with BellaNaija she said;

"It was my second day at Brontech Institute, as I walked to my class, I peeped into one of the other classrooms and saw a familiar face which made me take a second look, and there was Pete, also trying to figure out the familiar face. We later found out we both belonged to the same group on Facebook.

After that day, Pete and I became good friends. One day after class, Pete offered to give me a ride home, when we got to my place, he tried to sneak a kiss on me and I hit my head so hard on the side glass trying to escape that kiss, it was very awkward"

She continued that their romance sparked off afterwards which later led to her staying at his place when she needed an accommodation after she moved to Philadelphia.

She said; "A year later, I needed a place to live in Philadelphia as I moved there for work and it turned out Pete was living in Philadelphia at the time. He was kind enough to take me in, the plan was for me to be there for about 2 weeks while finding my own place. We ended up living together for almost 6 months and our undeniable attraction for each other led us into each other’s arms and a romantic relationship pursued. It was however short lived as we hit some major lows and setbacks in our relationship that led to 2 breakups. While apart, we realized life with each other was all we both wanted and that brought us back together."

The groom-to-be also shared his own side of their charming love story as he narrated that it was a plan with his friend, which went perfectly well for him.

He said; "My thirst for Kareen dates way back to my 3rd year in the university but yielded no fruits until 2014. One morning, I was taking a revision class when this light skin beauty walked pass my class. At that moment all my attention was lost, as I could not recover from the most attractive distraction I have ever seen.

One afternoon after giving a revision class, I told her friend Mandi to go ahead and leave her behind so she will need a ride home in which case I’ll gladly offer to give her a ride. And it went exactly as planned.

Once we got to her destination, as shy and scared of women as I am I couldn’t find the words to use so instead I reached out to hug her goodbye and she almost hit her head on the glass trying to escape, thinking it was a kiss. Well It was not a kiss, but that told me that she was thinking about it too. It was at that moment that I decided to preach the gospel according to Peter. A few months down the line she got a job in Philly and I offered to have her live with me while she got her own place. We got even closer as friends but we could not resist the obvious attraction that we had and became romantically involved."

The bride continuing in her story, spoke on her fairy tale proposal that happened on a yacht, she said the proposal was the most exciting thing for as she has never expected the surprise from her boyfriend.

She said; "Last year, Pete came to me with this idea of a couple’s trip to Tampa, with his friends and their wives or girlfriends, I agreed to join him and was excited about it. Two weeks before the trip, he told me he couldn’t make the trip anymore because of a work training that coincided with the trip date. I didn’t think anything of this but little did I know there was more to this trip than met the eyes.

Two days to the trip, he informed me that the training had been canceled because almost everyone at his job was going to Houston to volunteer at the post-hurricane relief, which meant the trip was back on for him. These were all efforts on his end to distract me from the whole reason for the trip.

The excitement was all I felt and thought nothing of it still until we got to Tampa on Monday, September 4th, and while on a yacht, I turned around to find him on one knee, asking me to marry him. Biggest shock and surprise of my life that has led to my ‘forever-journey’ with this man I love. Of course, I said yes!"

has been seriously injured in a car crash which killed his wife and injured at least seven others.
Officials said Prince Norodom Ranariddh was in a convoy with other senior figures of his FUNCINPEC party and was heading towards the seaside town of Sihanoukville in southwestern Cambodia when the accident happened on Sunday.
The SUV the 74-year-old politician was travelling in collided with a taxi travelling in the opposite direction, according to a senior party member in the group.
The deadly crash comes ahead of the country's general election next month, in which the former prime minister and his wife were running as candidates.
Police chief General Chuon Narin said Prince Ranariddh had suffered head injuries and was sent to the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh for treatment.
The officer said the politician's wife, Ouk Phalla, died in hospital.
The prince - a son of the late King Norodom Sihanouk - was Cambodia's co-prime minister for four years in an uneasy power-sharing deal with the current leader Hun Sen after his party won a United Nations-organised election in 1993.
His royal background made him popular despite having a strained relationship with his father.
Prince Ranariddh was ousted in 1997 and fled abroad as tensions between him and Mr Sen boiled over and led to two days of clashes in the capital between supporters of the two leaders. He returned to contest, only to be hit with this tragic incident.

The French leader, Emmanuel Macron, will visit the Afrika Shrine, a nightclub in Lagos founded by Nigerian music legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, on Tuesday, the state government has announced.

The state government in a statement by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transportation, Taiwo Salaam, said it will host Mr Macron at the shrine.

The evening will feature concerts, fashion shows by leading African designers and a meeting with stars from Nigeria’s booming Nollywood film industry.

Mr Macron is not a stranger to Nigeria. He trained as a senior civil servant at the French Embassy in Lagos in 2004, seven years after Fela died.

The Afrika Shrine located in the teeming Lagos district of Ikeja replaced Fela’s original club that burnt down in 1977, but for millions of fans it still represents the original Shrine built by the musical maverick.

Mr Macron, who is visiting the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott to attend an African Union summit on Sunday, will go on to Abuja for talks with President Muhammadu Buhari on security and terrorism, before coming to Lagos.

Meanwhile, ahead of Mr Macron’s historic visit to Lagos, the state government on Sunday announced that there would be traffic diversion and restricted movement from 12 noon to 12 midnight, on July 3 around the Alausa, African Shrine/Agidingbi axis.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transportation, Taiwo Salaam, in a statement appealed for the understanding of residents, urging motorists to make use of alternative routes provided.

“While we regret the inconvenience that this might cause the public, especially those who live and work in the area, we appeal that you kindly bear with us during this period and make use of the alternative routes provided,” Salaam said.

The stories about the romance between Seyi Shay and Vector in a forthcoming movie titled Lara and the Beat, has been in public discourse for a while. It is even being reported that the two musicians could be in a relationship.
However, in an encounter with Sunday Scoop, Seyi Shay rubbished the reports, saying that she shared a long history with Vector even before they became known musicians. She said;
“I have a long and exciting history with Vector before the music and movie. He was one of the reasons I stayed in Nigeria to do music. When I first came to Nigeria, he was the first friend I made in the music industry. He really helped me understand the Nigerian music and told me things I didn’t know at a time. I featured him on the remix of Irawo. I am happy it was him I played a movie role with. It was very easy working with him because I know him well. I don’t know anything about being in a relationship with Vector, but I definitely think Lara and the Beat is a movie worth watching because we both share a strong chemistry.”
Taking a break from music to feature in the forthcoming movie, she admitted that she feared she might lose her relevance. She stated;
“To play the movie role, I abandoned my music career for about two months as the hours on set were very long. I couldn’t go to shows neither could I record songs. I lost money but I made a great movie. However, I was extremely worried that the break could make me lose my fans but it didn’t. Acting in a movie has added to my profile and brand. When the movie comes out, it will boost my popularity.”
Speaking on her recent cozy pictures with Kiss Daniel, which also ignited dating rumors, she said;
“Those were just pictures taken on the set of a new music video and nothing more. I don’t pay attention to what people say on social media. I’ve done what I wanted to do and I have moved on,” he stated.

The Ekiti governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Kayode Fayemi, appears to have taken a stricter measure to protect himself during his campaigns ahead of the July 14 gubernatorial election in the state. The former minister of Solid Minerals Development, wore a bulletproof vest under his Buba to campaign recently in Ekiti, according to multiple reports.

This is coming after a policemen ‘accidentally’ shot during an APC rally early this month with Fayemi and other dignitaries present. The bullet hit Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) before he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has concluded his visits to all the 133 communities across the state ahead of the July 14 poll to seek support of voters.

He said he will provide visionary leadership through his Eight-point Agenda to redirect the state to the path of growth and development after four years of rudderless leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Fayemi also warned Governor Ayodele Fayose against illegal collection of workers’ voter cards through coercion, saying the voters have inalienable right to vote for candidate of their choice.
